Thanksgiving at Dalhousie
This Thanksgiving, swap home for an 800-year-old Scottish castle.
Celebrate Thanksgiving a little differently this year with an overnight escape to Dalhousie Castle, where familiar traditions meet centuries of Scottish history.
Begin your stay by discovering the stories behind the castle on a guided historical tour with local historian Max Muir, followed by a memorable meet and greet with one of Dalhousie’s magnificent eagles.
As evening falls, why not reserve a table at the Ramsay Restaurant? For one night only, our chefs will give the Ramsay menu an American-inspired twist, with a few familiar Thanksgiving favourites. Dinner is not included in the package and can be booked separately when you reserve your stay.
Afterwards, our whisky library will host a tasting bringing together Scottish whisky and American bourbon, a fitting meeting of two traditions to round off the evening.
After a night in one of our individually designed castle bedrooms, wake to a full Scottish breakfast the following morning.
The Thanksgiving experience takes place on Thursday 26 November 2026, with the option to add extra nights and extend your castle escape.
Your package includes:
- One-night stay in a castle bedroom with full Scottish breakfast
- Guided historical tour with local historian Max Muir
- Eagle meet & greet followed by a dram in our Whisky Library
