Dalhousie Castle are Regional Winners at Scottish Hotel Awards
Posted 31 JanuaryMid Lothian’s Dalhousie Castle Hotel has scooped the titles for Best Castle Hotel and Best Fine Dining Restaurant Hotel in the 2017 Scottish Hotel Awards Regional Finals.
Now in their 14th year Scotland’s prestigious awards scheme celebrates excellence in hospitality and identifies businesses who consistently provide outstanding service to their guests. Through a thorough annual assessment process in which participating hotels are visited twice, the scheme highlights businesses who not only possess a confidence in their offering, but also a desire to become even better.
Speaking on behalf of the team at Dalhousie Castle, newly appointed General Manager James Little said “We are delighted to have been awarded regional winners for these categories. It’s fantastic for our team to have been recognised for the phenomenal efforts that went into what was a very busy 2016. We are especially pleased to have been selected best in class for our fine dining Dungeon Restaurant. We’re passionate about our local Scottish produce, there’s nothing quite like it, and this is borne out in the exceptional cuisine that our team of talented chefs create. We shall look forward to seeing what the grand finals hold for us!”
2016 was an incredible year for Scottish tourism and with a recent report published by Rough Guide showing Scotland as the second most desirable place to visit in 2017 it looks like the best might yet be to come. The ‘best in class’ regional winners will be evaluated against all category winners and the final national winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on April 23rd in Glasgow.
