A unique dining venue
The Dungeon Restaurant - Truly, a unforgettable dining experience.
Award-winning, fine dining and parties
The quality of the cuisine and the unique setting make dining at Dalhousie Castle anything but ordinary. It is the perfect setting for a traditional Scottish Banquet.
Descending the worn flags of an ancient stone stairway you are ushered into the barrel vaulted dungeons. The atmosphere is heightened by the play of dramatic shadows across the rough hewn stone work, and the burnished steel of the weapons and armour that adorn the walls. It is hard to imagine a more evocative setting than the Dungeon Restaurant in which to enjoy excellent traditional Scottish Castle cuisine.
Dalhousie Castle prides itself on being a venue that is exclusive to our bride and groom on their special day, as such we ensure only one wedding party resides in the hotel at anyone time. Should you have any accommodation or dining requirements for your special day, please contact our sales team on 01875 820 153, or email firstname.lastname@example.org
The Orangery, with its sweeping views over the gently flowing River Esk, offers a more informal environment plus a lighter and more contemporary menu. Again the cuisine is primarily Scottish, but with Continental influences.
Dalhousie Castle Private Dining
It is hard to imagine a more evocative setting than the Dungeon Restaurant in which to enjoy excellent traditional Scottish Castle cuisine that features fresh local produce such as Salmon, Venison, Grouse and prime Scottish Beef. The Orangery Restaurant, on the other hand, with its sweeping views over the South Esk river, offers a more informal environment with a lighter and more contemporary menu.
The Ramsey Room is also perfect for private dining and can accommodate up to 100 guests and the Sir Alexander Room can accommodate 40 guests.
