BEAUTY THERAPIST

Dalhousie Castle are currently looking to recruit a qualified Beauty Therapist to join our Aqueous Spa team In this role you will be expected to work to the highest standards, delivering efficient customer service and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all of our guests, with the aim of delivering a relaxing and enjoyable experience. A range of treatments are available within our treatment rooms so the successful applicant is required to have experience and/or qualifications in the following:

  • Massage
  • Body treatments
  • Facials
  • Manicure / Pedicure (including gel polish)
  • Waxing
  • Tinting
  • Make-up

Previous experience in a therapist role in a luxury four star environment would be an advantage. The ideal candidate will have excellent understanding of client care & treatment. With a flexible & adaptable approach to working hours. An impeccable commitment to personal presentation, a genuine interest in holistic spa treatments. Working in an environment that can change quickly due to the demands of the overall hotel business, will be essential to the role. Along with working as part of a dedicated and passionate team. This position operates on a rotational shift basis, including weekends and public holidays. Part of the recruitment process for this role will require a trail shift to provide evidence of qualification, knowledge and experience.

JUNIOR SOUS CHEF

Dalhousie Castle are currently recruiting for a Junior Sous Chef. Reporting into the Head Chef the main duties of the role will involve the daily operation of a specific section in the kitchen, which serves two restaurants and events space for up to 100 people. Complying with all relevant food safety regulations and company policies in relation to standard procedures.

We’re looking for an individual experienced in Rosette dining, with 6-8 years professional history in such a role. Someone capable of supporting the Head Chef in the absence of the Sous Chef (including attendance at daily/weekly operational meetings), organising and prioritising the workload to ensure efficiency of service, whilst meeting the expectations of our guests. The ability to communicate effectively with other members of the kitchen and front of house team is important to achieve and maintain our reputation as an award winning establishment.

This position will have a working shift pattern of up to 55 hours per week, 5 days over 7, including weekends and public holidays. As part of the recruitment process all applicants will be required to conduct a trial shift to provide evidence of skill-set.

Dalhousie Castle are currently looking to recruit a Front Desk Receptionist. Reporting into the Front of House Manager. The main responsibilities of the role will be to the day to day duties of guest arrival, departure and guest requirements throughout their stay. Complying with the standards & procedures expected of an AA 4-star hotel, along with the handling of payments and personal data in a discrete professional manner. The role will also involve working closely with other departmental teams to assist in practical tasks to facilitate a smooth operation and a high level of guest service.

This is a shift rotation position, which will require early starts and late finishes including on weekends and public holidays. As well as occasional night shifts (11pm-7am) to cover during high business demand periods and departmental holiday cover.

We are looking for an outgoing and confident person. Capable of organising & prioritising tasks, whilst providing our guests with the level of attentive service they have come to expect, in person and over the phone. Experience and knowledge of property management systems is useful, but not essential as any training will be provided.

First stage interviews will be conducted by the Deputy General Manager, with contact being made by phone or email to arrange a mutually suitable date & time.

The main responsibilities of the role will be to the day to day duties of guest arrival, departure and guest requirements throughout their stay. KITCHEN PORTER

Dalhousie Castle are currently looking to recruit a Kitchen Porter. Reporting into the Head Chef. The main responsibilities of the role will be to the day to day duties of kitchen welfare and hygiene standards including washing of catering pots, crockery, assisting the kitchen brigade in food preparation & service, sorting of deliveries, along with general cleaning of the kitchen and food service areas. Complying with the standards & procedures set out by company policy and the Food Standards Agency.

This is a shift rotation position, which will require early starts and late finishes including on weekends and public holidays. As well as occasional night shifts to cover overnight maintenance & cleaning which can’t be done during service hours.

We are looking for an outgoing and confident person. Capable of organising & prioritising tasks, a strong self-starter with a good work ethic. Experience and knowledge of Health & Safety procedures is useful, but not essential as any training will be provided.

First stage interviews will involve a trial shift conducted by the Head Chef with contact being made by phone or email to arrange a mutually suitable date & time.
