Hogmanay at Dalhousie Castle and Spa
Traditional Hogmanay at Traditional 13th Century Castle
The Hogmanay itinerary includes fine dining in our award winning Dungeon Restaurant. A range of activities are suggested from which you can make a personal choice.
The highlight of the Celebrations will be the Hogmanay Gala Dinner Dance to bring in the New Year in the flamboyant style for which the Scots are internationally renowned, with dancing and hearty renditions of Auld Lang Syne.
Thursday 30th December 2010
Early Afternoon: Arrival at the Castle
4.00pm Traditional Afternoon Tea will be served in the Library / Sir Alexander Room.
4.30pm Welcome to the Castle and greetings from the Management and Staff of the Castle.
4.45pm Historical tour of the Castle by our very own Castle Steward.
7.00pm – 8.30pm Six Course Dinner which is taken in either our two AA rosette Dungeon Restaurant or The Orangery Please note that due to limited availability within The Dungeon Restaurant and Orangery we strongly advise you to pre- book your table reservation at the time of reserving your room in order to avoid disappointment. 7.00pm – 11.00pm: Clarsach playing in the Library
Friday 31st December 2010 - Hogmanay!
8.00am - 10.30am A traditional relaxing Breakfast, served in the Orangery
9.45am - 10.45am: Falconry demonstration by our Falconry team on the Patio
11.00am-1.00pm Traditional Clay Pigeon Shooting - ACTIVITY OPTION 1 During the morning, partake of the traditional Scottish field sport of Clay Pigeon Shooting - wrap up warm, as it could be chilly!
Or 11.00am-1.30pm:Indulge at Aqueous Spa - ACTIVITY OPTION 2 Choose from our extensive range of indulgent treatments Advanced booking required, please call Aqueous Spa Appointments on 01875 822777
Or 10.30am - 12.00noon:Archery - ACTIVITY OPTION 3 Try your hand at this ancient sport on the Castle Lawn.
12.30 - 2.30pm A light lunch of Soup, Sandwiches, Tea and Coffee will be served in The Orangery for the hungry Shooting / Archery Party! Additional Cost per guest: £ 10.00 4.00pm Light afternoon Tea will be served in the Library / The Sir Alexander Room.
7.00pm - 2.00am Gala Dinner (Black Tie, Kilts optional) Hogmanay GalaDinner Dance 7.00pm for 7.30pm - Kir Royale will be served in the Sir Alexander Room.
7.45pm - Guests will be piped into Dinner in the Ramsay Room (Inclusive of specially selected Wines and Champagne)
10.00pm - The Ceilidh will commence in the Sir Alexander Room 12 midnight - Count Down Celebrations
12.30am - 'First Footing'
1.00am - Bacon Butties will be served in the Brechin Room
2.00am - The evening will conclude with a hearty rendition of Auld Lang Syne!
Saturday 1st January 2011 A Happy New Year to all our Guests!
Morning: Enjoy the first Scotsman newspaper of the New Year, delivered to your room.
10.00am - 1.00pm Bucks Fizz served with a leisurely Brunch. Served in the Orangery, all morning and perhaps a little bit longer!
2.00pm - 3.00pm Enjoy a mulled wine during the Falconry display at the Castle Mews Don’t forget to wrap up well, as it could be a little chilly! 3.45pm - 4.15pm For those who missed Tuesday’s tour, a further historical Tour of the Castle
3.30pm - 4.45pm Light afternoon tea will be served in the Sir Alexander Room
6.45pm Champagne Reception served in the Sir Alexander Room
7.15pm Murder Mystery Buffet Dinner in the Ramsay Room

Terms and Conditions
Please find detailed below the Terms and Conditions for our New Year Package. Take care to read these carefully as this forms the basis on which your booking at Dalhousie Castle will be accepted and the contract established.
Terms and Conditions 1Reservations are on a first come first served basis and must be provisionally reserved in the first instance by a letter to the Castle. Reservations will not be confirmed until the deposit has been paid and the remaining installment received as outlined below:-
a)Letter of intention is required to hold a provisional booking.
b)Initial deposit of 50% of total package must be received within 14 days of the letter of intention.
c)Remaining 50% of the total package must be received by the 30th September 2010
d) Should the initial deposit not be received within 14 days of the written confirmation then the provisional booking will be released.
2 All payments must be paid in £ sterling.
3 Cancellations must be received in writing to Dalhousie Castle no later than 30th September2010. Any Cancellations received later than this date will be non refundable unless the complete package is resold. In the case of successfully re-selling the package, Dalhousie Castle reserves the right to retain 10% administration fee. 4 Dalhousie Castle will not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations as a result of any of the following circumstances: Strikes, other industrial actions, fire at the Hotel or nearby, flood at or nearby the Hotel, civil unrest, dispute or commotion or act of god.
